It all started with some found audio of some kids reacting to pictures from the Dust Bowl. Followed by experiments in editing and sound design and Like a Bomb is born. I honestly thought it would turn out funnier than it did, but the more people I showed it to, the more that found it unsettling or depressing. lol.
I have to say, I also learned a lot about Copyright Law. Although I was ensured by my lawyer (i.e. my best friend that happens to be a lawyer), that I was likely within my reach with fair use, I was still concerned. This led me to taking a course on Copyright Law for Multimedia through Coursera. After the course, it still feels murky, though I believe I could argue a fair case for transformative fair use.
